Hb told me she's getting braces. "They have to be pink," she said.
After the halaqa was over, Ummi asked the girls if they wanted to recite something from the Qur'an. Little Rwn volunteered first, to read An-Naba. Then I went to read the last ayah of Hujurat. Sr said I was good. Byn read Al-Ghashiyah. She was better than her sister. :P Then Ummi told us about some other stuff and I felt unneeded, so I decided it was cookie time. Mar had guessed right before we left the house and I said she was very smart.
I got up and walked away from the circle and picked up the cookie tin from the shelf. I took it to the musalla and put it on the ground where Smr, Rwn, and Rwn's mom were gathered around the tea. I opened it up and they were all like, "Did you make this?"
"Yeah," I said.
"Masha'Allah!"
I felt awkward so I went back to the circle.
Pretty soon Smr came and passed the cookie tin around. "N made them," she told everybody.
"Wait, what?" said Byn.
"N made them," Mar said.
"N made them?" Byn repeated.
"Yeah!" said Mar.
"They taste like corn and smell like popcorn!" said Rwn.
"These are really good," said Sr.
I found out why Sr doesn't eat chocolate. It isn't for health. It's simply because she thinks it tastes disgusting. Now that's queer.
Then H appeared at the door to take the tea plate away. Then later he came again to give us a bag of candy. They were Russell Stover caramel apple things. I think my jaw is broken from them things.
When everybody except us and Rwn's family left, Jidda told Byn and Rwn that they were very beautiful ladies. Byn said, "You have a good granddaughter. She's a good friend and a good cook."
That made me laugh.
Anyways, y'all, it's January. Today S, I, Z, and Jidda went rolling around the empty parking lot at the school. I was on my lades, and S was on H's bike, Jidda was on S's bike, and Z was on Z's bike.
It wasn't too cold today. H made pizza. Kylie didn't come. Pretty good.
