Thursday means laundry day. I hung the laundry about an hour ago.
LAUNDRY STORY (Thursday)
I heard a scratchy sound from the shed, so I went and looked inside. Darn cobwebs. I saw a lizard, a large one, with a blue tail! I got very excited and just stood there, watching it crawl over the bricks. Then I ran inside and told Skin, who was having class. She got an excited face and followed me to the backyard. The lizard had disappeared. "Call me when you see it again," said Skin.
So as I hung the laundry like a little slave, I saw it again and told Skin but when she came, I was at the computer, typing this, and she was at the backyard door. "Nu! Where are you?"
"Here I am," I said quickly, getting off the computer chair and running to the back door.
"I don't see it," Skin said.
"It is there! It was right there, sunbasking or something!" I said. Ugh, where did it go?!
"I went out," said Skin.
"Ohh, don't go out next time! You scared it!" I moaned.
Skin went back to class, and I continued hanging the laundry. I came upon a strange green spider. It was the color of a luna moth. It had four large front legs, and four small hind legs. And it had a gray-green spot on its back.
I just stared at it. What a strange spider.
Then the lizard was there again. Called Skin. She came. She grabbed something. Lizard ran away as fast as it could. Went up the wall and went into the nextdoor neighbor's garden. "Darn it!" I said.
The end. Darn lizards.
CURRENT ACTIONS/HAPPENINGS (Thursday)
Z is playing bad games on PBS. It's quite distracting, and is disturbing me in my Revved for Ramadan class. I'm hungry and my tummy is yelling at me, but I am ignoring it. Apparently my tummy does not have patience. I just made my volume louder to beat Z. I really want to shower, but my towel and my chosen clothes have not dried yet.
Wisam just said that we are all currently sitting on our coccyx bones. Our coccyx bone is made of five bones.
Wisam just said he could get a haircut like Zayn Malik's if he wanted to. Haha.
Yay, we received a call for mother on the Skype phone. That took Z away from his loud games, at least.
Mother just killed a fly. Yay! Now it won't be flying all around my head anymore.
Wisam asked us a question about a tree, and I answered Zaqqum, and he said, "Zaqqum! Yes! Good job, Sister Nur - er, Sister Nura."
Last night was interesting.
LAST NIGHT STORY (Wednesday night)
Characters: Me and my friends Aaq, Nab, Nev, Hib, and Sr
We arrived at the masjid about 15 minutes before Isha prayer. I saw Nab in the classroom sitting on a chair. I went to go say hi to her and her sister Aaq.
"'Keela!" I said. (that's her nickname.)
"Nu!" she said.
I gave her a neck-strangling hug, and Nev took a picture of it. "It looks like you're strangling her!" Nev said, giggling.
After Isha prayer, I went to go and sit no the new blue couch that had been placed in the masjid. I waved to Hib who had just finished praying with her mummy. Sr came and sat with me. "Hey!" she said. "What have you been doing these days?"
"Oh, sweating," I answered.
She laughed. Then Hib came to us. Sr and I hugged her and then Sr and Hib compared skin color.
"Wow, you're dark," Sr told Hib.
"I want to be white," said Hib.
"I want to be tan," said Sr. "Wanna trade?"
I just watched them. This was an LOL matter. At least to me.
Sr just talked to Hib, who stood there. "Don't you want to sit?" I asked.
"Yeah, come sit," said Sr.
"Okay," said Hib, sitting down.
Hib's family is going for Umrah. "Hib, when are you guys leaving?" I asked.
"We're going to El Paso on Sunday," she said.
So soon? Darn it! "Oh my. I'd better enjoy you while you're still here," I said.
She giggled. Or..how should I say this...breath-laughed.
"Don't go," I said patting her shoulder.
"I'll put you in my suitcase," she said. "Bring some water bottles."
Sr giggled. "Oh my God," I said, laughing.
So that's mainly it.
