Green Grapes

I want to go get a bunch of green grapes from the fridge, but H just woke up, which means I can't escape from the computer or H will steal it. And I can't yell at him, so I'd never get him off if he stole it. (Unfortunately he takes this as an advantage.)

Anyways, before I allow virtual wars to happen between me and H in the comment box, I'm gonna change the subject. There is a baby shower at Young's Park today at 5pm. Ummi is making spring rolls.

I sleep too long in my naps and I dislike it. I don't like the idea of just stretching endlessly in my bed when I'm awake but still too tired to get up.

Yesterday I updated my food blog, If You're Hungry and You Know It, so go there. I put a fruit salad recipe. I think I want to make a smoothie or some sort of fruit juice soon, because we bought green grapes last night.

Ummi left the computer, and H took it, so I think I can get some grapes now without worry.

Yesterday was the aqiqah for that baby Muhammad. He is very cute, although his face is quite bloodred. Why are babies' faces always so red? Is their skin so thin that the redness of the blood comes through?

Anywhooze, the food was delicioso. I ate some pasta and maybe too much salad, but I was surprised that for once I finished it. Then I was just standing in the hallway talking to S about something, when the door opened. The masjid door is very creaky. There is no way you can open it in silence. But you can close it quietly.

The people who came in the door were Ra and Mar and Abd-R and their mom. "It's party time!" I said when I saw Mar. She laughed. We stood in the hallway where the bathroom was, and then Mar said, "This is very awkward."

"It's always like that with you!" I said. And then we giggled like girls boys. Mar wanted to go and find a baby to play with, but unfortunately Abd-R was already playing with one of the Muhammads, the cutest baby (so far!) in the masjid.

We tried to get Muhammad and we were successful. Then more baby junk happened, and near our departure, Ra, Sr, S, Ummi, Z, Mar, and I were sitting in front of the library door in a circle. Mar's feet were in my face. I clapped my feet. Mar was all shockedly surprised. She'd seen me do that when she came to my house. Now she said, "Do that again!" I obeyed.

Mar now turned to Sr. "Look, Sr!" she said. "N, do it again."

Clap! they went. Sr's eyes widened. "Oh my God," she said. "Do that again."
I was now quite embarrassed now. Sometimes I don't like being the center of attention. But I did it.

"How can you do that?" asked Sr.
"My feet are flat," I answered flatly (jk).

"Let me see your foot," said Sr.

I showed it to her and turned it all around. Then I let it lay flat.

"Whoa," said Sr.

"She's the only one who can do that," said Ummi.

I then flipped my left foot to face me and I put it on my right leg. Then I took my right foot, flipped it, and put it on top of my left leg. Ahh. Serene.

then we left. we sent someone home. the end.
