The Casualties of Fall

My toes are freezing (which reminds me I have to put on my toe socks) and so are my fingers. When my fingers are frozen and cold, they don't press the right keys. I'm fixing a million typos in my writing right now. Give me a moment to put on my toe socks.

Oh man! I think my toe socks are too small for me now. It was quite a struggle to pull them on. Well, that tells me one thing: my feet have grown. My toe socks were bought in January 2012. They're rainbow. Kinda ugly, but I wasn't there at the store when they were bought. Because it was so cold at the time that Ummi and Abi went to the store without us and we just used the phone to order. Mom and Dad said there were rainbow toe socks for sale. And I never owned a pair of toe socks. And rainbow is majestic. So I said yes to them toe socks. I do think I've got a picture of them here. Give me another moment.

Yeah, so that was when they fit properly. Ugly, huh? I mean, that light blue is unnecessary. There is already a blue, and then it gets ruined by a horrid light blue that looks like barf or something. The rest is fine, of course.

Mom and Dad called us an hour ago. They're sleeping and they'll do umrah after isha.

Kak Nora is sick. And that's all.

It's all S's fault!

Well, today went off to quite a start. My Qur'an teacher didn't answer me after about five calls, and then I received an email from her. She told me to call her again. And so I did. And then I succeeded.

Then Kak Nora went to a doctor's appointment. And then Smr came. And then Smr left for Joomah. And Aunt Sal picked H up for Jooma. H came back at around 2:30. And then S told me to make a brownie in a cup for her. So I made one for her and for myself. And then I burnt my hand a little. And then, the brownies were done, and S was ungrateful, and I got sick. The End.

I'm sweaty.

That's why I don't like fall. Summer is the best. You can swim, the days are [typically] sunny, you get to eat ice cream, and best of all, NO SCHOOL!!!!

Except I never get that freedom feeling because I do my school in the summer. Nupp - stay quiet - I know it's my fault. XD

Momma is 3 hotel rooms away from Dad. They btoh have a new phone. It's white. And Momma got gifts for us.I think this will be the first Eid al-Adha ever without Mom and Dad. They've been with us since forever. Since momma left, everything is really boring. I expected things to be fun, but they didn't quite turn out the righht way. Only some things are fun.

Well, I think I should go to bed. It's super late here, almost 11:30, and my eyes hurt. Gotta sleep. And my hands are tired too. They won't type what I wish them to.

For the Sake of October.

I set the blog to a fall theme. For the sake of October. This is blog post #101. How coincidental. It's 10/1 today.

10/1/2013

Well, my day has come. I'm a year older now. You'll probably find out my age if you read my last year's birthday post. I'm happy now that I finally reached my rightful age of the year. Not because I'm a year older, but because now I can feel older around my friends who were born in the same year as I was. My friend Sr is about 5 months older than me. Mar's sister Ra is my age, though I don't know her birthday. And yay, I'm older than Hib and H and Mar now. With Hib it's a 1 year difference. With H it's 2. And with Mar it's 3.

Hib said she would give me something on Saturday. I can't wait to see what it is.

Why so glum, do I sound? Because I can never really be happy about birthdays. Muslims don't celebrate them. I think they're fine as long as people don't make you a cake with stinky candles, sing a ridiculous song, and throw an equally ridiculous party. Giving gifts is all right. My parents sort of gave me a gift last year. It was awesome. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the day was gloomy.

Anyway...I received a nice surprise this morning when I opened Google Chrome. It was this:
If I put my mouse over it, the message says, "Happy Birthday N!" Thanks, Google.

Well, that's all I have for today. Ummi and Abi are in Madinah now. El shared pictures of them with us on G+. Thanks, El.

Day #2 Without Mom AND DAD

I can't believe I'm writing only 'without Mom' instead of 'without mom and dad'. Dad must feel very neglected. Sorry, Dad.

So anyways, today I went to the soup kitchen with S and Mar and Ra. I served milk. Everything was awkward.

Everything is deathfully BORING without mom/dad. Like boringer than usual. aghhhhh

Mar is emailing me. My birthday is on Tuesday.

I feel so useless.

I can't believe Mom and Dad are gone. It's just..I can't believe it.

BADAN BESAR?! O_O

Today was the last day of walking with Mom. It was planned she was to go with us all, but H didn't want to come. When we got back, Mom called her dad who is called Atok. Ah-took. Okay. Well, I had class while she did that. Then Mom had a class. Then it was lunchtime. Then H went to Joomah. Then we video chatted with Grandma. and Grandma said my badan was besar. How offensive.

Lailahaillallah

Listening to Silent Sunlight right now whilst drinking cold raw milk fresh from the cow and a flamin' hot mug brownie. Mom and Dad and both dear little brothers are at the store. Any teenager's dream, right? Well, not really. People may think being alone at home with Wi-Fi and food is the best thing, but actually I don't think so. I like socializing more than I like the Wi-Fi. Because sometimes when I'm done using the computer I just go and walk away, but then I'm like, hmm, what to do? S ain't gonna talk to me, so...and then I just go back to the computer and feel so awful. Anyway...wow, I haven't listened to songs in a long time. Pretty harmonic. ^^

Might as well go do some exercise by dancing.

Are You Ready?

Mom and Dad got the Visa yesterday. They are going to leave on Saturday in the early morning at 3. Kak Nora is gonna stay with us.

Since September 22nd, the first day of fall, everything has gotten much colder and again, my toes are ice-cold.

Last night we all had dinner at Auntie Sal's house. We ate tomyam. Tomyam is the best Malaysian food in the world. I had a full bowl of just the soup and it was so delicious. S made me laugh so hard last night.

And blah.
